2Huge winds measuring close to 50 knots wreaked havoc on a number of houses at Cape St Francis in late June. The most serious casualty was one of the a pre-fab construction which was unable to withstand the huge Westerly buster. The roof sheeting was the first to go followed closely by wall panels. In the spirit of Cape St Francis neighbourliness, local residents pitched in to secure the house and contents. Rebuilding it has begun.
